The growth in social structures over the decades means that Germering is not only an appealing place to work, but also to live. Our city has an excellent social network, with a colourful and varied range of offerings for young and old.
So it is not surprising that one of the first multi-generational-centers in Germany, the Zenja (Centre for Young and Old) was inaugurated here in February 2007. The Germeringer Insel acts as a free-of-charge, central drop-in centre, helpdesk and mediation office for social welfare issues for all citizens of Germering. The notable offering in terms of child care and youth work reflects Germerings exemplary social infrastructure.
Our young and modern city centre offers you and your colleagues a wide range of shops and services, complemented by a variety of eating establishments. This allows workers to run quick errands or while away leisurely lunch breaks. Germering town hall is available for conferences and seminars, meetings and celebrations. The golf course at the western edge of the town, as well as our many clubs, invites you and your business partners for some sporting relaxation after a stressful day at work. Further leisure activities such as our indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a lively cultural scene and the proximity to the five lakes area and the Alps form the basis of the extraordinarily high quality of life in our town.
Feel at home with us and make use of the opportunities!
